Welcome to The Crafted Chapter, a book club for readers who love to create. Each month, we pair a novel with a hands-on craft inspired by the book’s themes, setting, or mood—think decorated book totes, pressed flower journals, candle decorating, and more.
This is your time to slow down, savor a good story, and make something meaningful. Come for the conversation, stay for the creativity, and leave with a one-of-a-kind piece that brings the book to life.
For our first gathering, we’re reading The Mysterious Bakery on Rue de Paris by Evie Woods—a whimsical, heart-filled story set in a magical Parisian patisserie. As we discuss the novel, we’ll each design a chic French market tote to carry our next reads in style.
Facilitators: Marisa & Isabella met in town and have become wonderful friends over the last four years. They bonded over their love of charcuterie boards and books. This will be their 3rd season hosting a book club at Illume, and they would love for you to join!

What is the return policy?
merchandise returns for store credit within 14 days. No returns on Illume Essence, art & unwrapped games. All returns at discretion of the bookseller.
Are all of your products available online?
While we do our best to offer as much of our inventory online as possible, the best way to see everything is to stop by! ✨

Curation and "Why Don't You Carry..."
Illume is an experience for readers that's meant to showcase a careful selection of titles much in the same way an art gallery would display an exhibition.
Titles are always shown "cover forward", and our inventory rotates to reflect current reader interests, shifting topics, and obscure finds. That said, we LOVE recommendations! Let us know what you're looking for, or what your favorite reads are. You may find them on the shelves soon!
